Cover Template

Due to the fact that we are working in a group we had to decide on a cover layout as a group. To begin with we decided on name "Sota Sports"   because our magazine revolves around sports in high school, specifically in the Sarasota area. We tested out several fonts that look or appear sporty. In other words they resemble the font that is often found on sports jersey's.We decided on a font called Onky, but there was a problem with it, the a in this font looks like an o. First we tried changing fonts but decided this really was the best font for our magazine. So in order to remedy this we took a lower case d and flipped it so it appeared like an a.  As of right now the coloring is black because it has a professional look and we don't want to pic a color that will clash with the cover photo.

Mid Term Submission

Contrary to the original plan for the Cover Page I changed the color of the font to white to make sure that the Title and Feature Article tittles were visible. In addition in table of contents I used one large picture rather than several small ones. I had to do this in order to fit all of my article titles on the table of contents. When I was creating the template I didn't account for the large number of article titles.

Revision-Cover page

According to my last post the cover page needed to be revised. This includes changing the title from Sota Sports to Soflo Sports. This makes sure that the magazine can have a larger audience and a more realistic chance of being a successful business. In addition I added a border and worked on the cover in Photoshop in order to give it depth in the title and an overall more sporty look.  Finally we changed the font of the feature article titles.
